We strive to keep the cost of swimming with DSC to a minimum. Fees cover the cost of pool rental, and coaching. Free parking in the surface lot is provided by Repsol Sports Centre (formerly Talisman Sports Centre).
2016 – 2017 Swimming Fees
All members must register using the registration form and Swim Alberta forms which can be downloaded below:
Different Strokes swimmers can purchase 10 Passes, or Drop in. For the first time this year, we have calculated a season price and members can deduct payments made through purchasing 10 passes for the initial two months of the season.
Different Strokes Calgary offers a variety of payment options. They include: annual, monthly, or drop in. The prices are:
- Full-year membership (September 2017 to June 2018)
For unlimited practices from September through to the end of June, the full-year fee is $250. Cheques should be made out to Different Strokes Master Swim Club. For regular swimmers, this is by far the most economical way to pay.
- 10 Pass
The card is valid for any practices during the current season (so until the end of June 2017) and it costs $100 for the 10-card. You can buy these from any member of the executive at the pool. We take attendance at every swim and we will let you know when you are nearing the end of your pass. You can pay by cash or cheque made out to Different Strokes Calgary Masters Swim Club.
- One Time Drop in
If you really aren’t sure about your schedule and whether you’ll be able to swim at least 10 times during the swim season (September to June), there is still a one-time drop in fee available for $12 per swim. This doesn’t change the policy of having brand new swimmers to the club swim for free when they first swim.
- Student Pricing
We are encouraging students to join us at our swim club so we are currently offering a promotion of 50% off swimming for anyone with a valid, active student ID.
- Special Circumstances
If you’re a student or underemployed and these fees will be difficult for you, please just pull one of the Executive aside at the pool and we’ll figure out a way that you can still participate.
First Swim is Free.
The first swim is free for new swimmers to the club. This allows you the opportunity to try out swimming with us.
Swim Alberta Fees
An annual fee of $50.00 is a required fee for Swim Alberta membership.
